Sunday mornings

We are open for worship every week at 10:30 am in the main sanctuary.

Our stewards will give you a warm welcome.

Our services are led by our own minister Rev Dr David Barker, and also by other ministers and Local Preachers in the circuit. Sometimes our own Worship Leaders help to lead the worship.

We hope that you feel welcome and can come and meet with God, to learn about and encounter Him in our church. The service will last around an hour, and will include hymns or worship songs, prayers, Bible readings and spoken word from the person leading the worship. Bibles are in the pews/seats if you wish to follow the Bible readings. Words for songs and prayers or responses are often up on a screen, please let us know if you prefer a hymn book - this is available in large print.

We serve refreshments after worship every Sunday downstairs in the Brimer Hall. This gives everyone an opportunity to gather for fellowship after worship. We also have lunch together every few weeks (usually £6 per person).

God's Experiment and Circuit AWE services

If you prefer more contemporary worship, God's Experiment are a team that hold worship events every 2 or 3 months. These services are led by a group of worship leaders & musicians from the circuit. They are aimed at reaching the unchurched and are thought provoking and immersive. Open to everyone - watch out for the posters, you can also find them on Facebook. The next event is 22nd June 6pm here at Batley - with hot dogs! The team will also be leading the music for the Youth Service at Drighlington on October 19th 6pm.

AWE services are held every couple of months around different churches and are a great opportunity for us to come together in worship.

They are led by a circuit team of musicians and local preachers along with the ministers. There is also time to get together after the service for refreshments and fellowship. The next AWE service is July 6th at West Ardsley 6pm.
