Wednesday Prayers
There is a hymn that says, “Prayer is the Christian’s vital breath, The Christian’s native air” (H&P 557). Prayer ought to lie at the heart of all that we seek to do both as individuals and as a church.
“Wednesday Prayers” happen right in the middle of the week because we believe that
prayer is our “vital breath” and should be at the very centre of everything else
that happens day-
We are a group of people who meet for prayer in someone’s home on the first and third Wednesday mornings each month at 10.00am. Recognising that some people do not find it easy to pray spontaneously, we use a short and simple Order of Morning Prayer, which includes a short discussion around a bible reading. Sometimes we use a full hour and sometimes we do not!
